After 15 years it was her time and she went without suffering. She was the best dog in the world and she will be missed deeply. It didn't take much for Autumn to convince you to love her and all her dog sitters were heart-broken to hear the news. I will miss all of her odd behaviors and her yelping bark Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-79344913688264287512010-09-13T08:34:00.000-05:002010-09-13T08:34:49.031-05:00*Tear*I came across this video the other day, and it had me in tears.

So I've been getting pestered politely asked for pics of our recent patio construction. I've been stalling because it isn't complete in my mind's eye and because it's trashy looking.
Here's the oasis that I picture:
This is what we have:

I won't bore you with excuses of "oh, we're soooo busy and our lives are soooo important that we have no time to update our blog" - nope, I'm just bad about keeping up with stuff and have a short attention span. BUT! maybe this will make up for our long absence?? A funny clip of karma Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-86532979832430766902009-03-27T15:45:00.003-05:002009-03-27T16:14:18.690-05:00I'm on a roll!I just wanted to updated with more pictures from this afternoon of the snow......but first, I want to say to my dad:*no eggs were harmed in the posting of this videoHAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY, DAD!!!! We're in the middle of the blizzard and it's pretty intense. The only dogs that are willing to go out are Jack and Tyson and that was only earlier this morning:All of the other dogs make sure to keep a wide berth from the doors to avoid the cold blast of air (in the teens, but feels like it's below zero) and us Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-56011978929230453272009-03-26T08:57:00.002-05:002009-03-26T09:01:37.542-05:00BLIZZARD!It's snowed a couple times since we've been here, but nothing like the forecast is calling for over the next couple of days! From the Weather Center:SNOWFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN 8 AND 16 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR THE OKLAHOMA BORDER ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY. HEAVY SNOWFALL COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH WILL CREATE WIDESPREAD BLIZZARD Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-49898311824297671002009-02-14T19:50:00.007-06:002009-02-14T22:07:15.404-06:00We're Still AliveSorry for the lack of updates, but we've been INCREDIBLY busy. Still are, but now it's more due to unpacking/working and I'll do anything to put that chore off.I believe I promised a summary of our crappy ordeal moving up here - a long, complain-y, whiny post. But the cliche, time heals all, is true....it seems so long ago and so trite now, it's not really worth droning on and on about with Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-25877955058928228992009-01-15T09:04:00.003-06:002009-01-15T09:11:40.599-06:00brrrrrrit's fooking COLD here. single digits! which isn't exactly pleasant in an rv. we have a heater + 8dogheaters so it's bearable....but not fun.good news: we found a place to live and people who are willing to work with us and let us move in before closing. we get the keys on friday! yay! i'll outline our long sooky saga soon. i'm good at complaining, so it won't be short ;pDanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-80959419288866047962009-01-13T07:19:00.002-06:002009-01-13T07:22:08.420-06:00Life is AWESOME*we're living in an rv at a campground with 8 dogs and a cat. saturday, dad and chris leave with the rv to drive it back to houston. then we'll be 100% homeless. with 8 dogs and a cat.*by awesome, i mean completely sucky.Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-42572759708575773102008-12-30T07:45:00.001-06:002008-12-30T07:45:51.244-06:00It's a comin'the movers will be here in exactly a week.EEEEECCCCKKKKKK!Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-55061271923948383442008-12-23T08:30:00.002-06:002008-12-23T08:36:27.639-06:00Meet our (hopefully) new abodeso here's the house: It's a 1977 ranch and has only had one owner. It's really clean and they kept it up structurally and whatnot very well. Cosmetically, weeeelllll, that's a different story. Original carpeting (from 1977) in no less than 8 shades from the '70s, wood paneling, avocado appliances, etc.......bright side to that - it'll give us something to do for "entertainment"!The location Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-29316778862116230012008-12-22T14:04:00.006-06:002008-12-22T14:13:03.067-06:00Roll with the punches, tomorrow is another day...time for me to put my 2 cents in on the Great Expectations debate.i believe when this comment was made, it was in reference to how overly prepared our small town realtors were (if you missed it, scroll down to see just how hard kansas blows). i think if he had actually been there, i would imagine he'd agree all the merriam-webster's dictionaries printed, shipped and sold in southwest kansas doNOTUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-81203718672693300042008-12-22T11:02:00.006-06:002008-12-22T12:26:46.168-06:00Great Expectationswarning: this entry ended up WAY longer and vent-y than i expectedso my dad told me not that long ago that i have "high expectations". for myself and for others. i totally see what he means in regards to myself; i'm constantly throwing myself into the pressure cooker.but having high expectations of others? not so much. when i pay you for a service or set up an appointment with you, i expect it toDanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-66828068008920439212008-12-16T11:14:00.007-06:002008-12-16T17:58:21.451-06:00Kansas Blows. literally. the wind never ever stops. which is why they have the wicked wind farms everywhere. those suckers are HUGE.so we're back. it was a horrible trip; we have no where to live permanently OR temporarily. we're totally going to be those homeless people with dogs, but people always feel really bad for them/the dog and give more money - so i guess that's a plus!we arrived in amarillo laaaate Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-14970396233381579682008-12-14T07:33:00.003-06:002008-12-14T07:38:37.890-06:00Heading HomeWe're getting ready to head home from our "house" hunting trip. Our extremely useless "house" hunting trip - more on that at a later date.Things we've learned in KS:tumbleweeds exist in real life, not just in Western movies.people move and think in sloooooooow motion.they like their pizza. a lot.the whole fucking state smells like cow.Danahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17872553378850027494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7814488997960328889.post-58651231842650704242008-12-11T11:26:00.004-06:002008-12-14T07:39:04.478-06:00Poppin' the cherry....**.....for our new blog. The super-secret-anti-baby one that some of you were hoping to find here is still under wraps. Suckers.We/I (Dana here) decided it'd be a good idea to keep everyone up to date on our oh so exciting lives. Best way to do this: a blog. bloooooog. So here it goes. We're moving to a land, far-far away. A place of wonder and magic where all the exciting stuff happens. Or not.
