A piece of our heart is gone...

I am sadden to write that early last week we lost our oldest and sweetest pack member Autumn. After 15 years it was her time and she went without suffering. She was the best dog in the world and she will be missed deeply.

It didn't take much for Autumn to convince you to love her and all her dog sitters were heart-broken to hear the news.

I will miss all of her odd behaviors and her yelping bark when she was ready to eat.

Autumn - we will miss you and love you forever.

Patio

Hello, blog, it's been awhile. So I've been getting pestered politely asked for pics of our recent patio construction. I've been stalling because it isn't complete in my mind's eye and because it's trashy looking.

Here's the oasis that I picture:

SUURRRPPRRIIIIIIIISSSEEE!!!

Have no fear, we're still here!....that was lame, but what do you say after nearly a year of no updates?? I won't bore you with excuses of "oh, we're soooo busy and our lives are soooo important that we have no time to update our blog" - nope, I'm just bad about keeping up with stuff and have a short attention span. BUT! maybe this will make up for our long absence?? A funny clip of karma literally busting me in the ass.....(oh, and you can see my hair color change for a couple nanoseconds - if you're not laughing at me too hard. And please ignore my oh so sessy maniform; I'd just gotten home from work):

Fun in the snow

HI-larious, no? I bet Roxy was enjoying karma getting me back....btw, that's Roxy, 1 of our 2 fosters through Scout's Honor Rescue. Cute, no? And sweet, no? Want to adopt her?? No? Yeah, I have a feeling we're stuck with her.....Oh well, she's fun to kick snow at if you don't bust your butt when doing so.

I better get to making dinner and cleaning up; we leave for Colorado in the morning to take advantage of this snow we're getting. A plus to living in KS (one of the only ones): good skiing is only 6hrs away and we have season lift tickets :-)
